We need your company to help fight hunger!

Take the Corporate Hunger Challenge.  All it takes is one person in your company to get on board and inspire those around you.  Won’t you be that person in your company? 

 

The Harpoon Point to Point is a great way for you and your colleagues to spend a day together outside of the office.  Enjoy the fresh Vermont air, get your heart pumping and kick your competitive drive in gear!  We have prizes for the teams that raise the most money for the Foodbank, have the most riders and who have the most creative team uniform.  Not only can you get the fundraising competition going internally, but keep in mind that there are other teams looking to win out in these categories too.  Put your company on the map for aiding in the serious problem of Hunger in Vermont.   We need your help!

How to start a team:
 
 

Teams constitute 2 or more people.
  • STEP 1: Email hp2p@harpoonbrewery.com to request a special email that you can send out to your colleagues to recruit riders.
  • STEP 2: We’ll send the email back to you and you can forward it throughout your company.  This email will describe the Harpoon Point to Point and focus on how a corporate team works.
  • STEP 3: You pledge to be the team captain for your team. 
  • STEP 4: Start thinking about team colors, or a theme, get a committee together to work on fun and creative ways to participate in the ride.
  • STEP 5: THE RIDE
 
 
How to Register a team:
    • Download the Corporate Team registration forms. Simply fill out the form and send it in with your team name on the top. You may also add riders during day-of registration which starts an hour before each ride.
    • Fill out the registration form, choosing which ride you’d like to do. Not everyone on the team has to ride the same distance! 
    • Sign up for the distance that is best for you, 25 miles, 50 miles or 110 miles.
Team Costs and Fundraising Minimums
 
Registration Fee:
  • 110-mile ride: $85
  • 50-mile ride: $65
  • 25-mile ride: $25
  • Fundraising minimum:  $100/person
 
We encourage you to set fundraising goals and use the online fundraising pages on active.com.  Create your team page and keep track of your pledges online! 
 
Your registration fee includes:
    • Harpoon Point to Point T-shirt
    • Riding costs
    • Pre-ride food and beverage at Start
    • Post ride BBQ and 2 Harpoon beers (or sodas)!
Team Incentives:

A Harpoon Point to Point Plaque will be awarded to the winning team in the following categories:

  • Most Funds Raised by day of event

  • Most Riders      

  • Best Team Uniform (decided by the Harpoon Point to Point committee)

All winners will also have recognition on all communication materials and promotion on the Point Radio Network.
2008 Corporate Team: Metropolitan Music
In addition, the Most Funds Raised winning team will win a private tour and party at the Harpoon Brewery! The team that raises the most funds by September 15 will be invited for beers, pizza, and a tour of the Harpoon Brewery in Windsor.
