Riding the Point to Point

The 8th Annual Harpoon Point to Point is a day of bicycle rides (110 miles, 50 miles and 25 miles) across the state of Vermont to benefit the Vermont Foodbank. This year’s event is on Saturday, August 15th, 2009.

  

A collaborative effort by the Vermont Foodbank, the Harpoon Brewery, and The Point Radio Network, this ride was established to raise awareness and funds for the Vermont Foodbank and its efforts to end hunger in Vermont.

 

There are 3 rides for a participant to choose from. No matter what your riding level, we have a ride for you!  

You will have until September 15th to raise the minimum fundraising amount.

 


 

 

110-Mile Ride from Williston to WindsorView route on MapMyRide
All riders make a fundraising commitment of $150 for the 110-mile ride.    
FUNDRAISING AND FEES
Ride fee:

General: $85

Friend of Harpoon  - only $80

 
Transportation to Start$30 

The ride fee includes

  • ride t-shirt
  • breakfast at start in Williston (110-mile ride only)
  • lunch at the mid-point rest stop
  • ride support - 4 rest stops and mechanical support
  • post-ride celebration at the Harpoon Brewery, including dinner and two tickets for Harpoon beer or soda
  • 2009 Harpoon Point to Point Bike Jersey available for an additional $50!
Fundraising Commitment: $150

ABOUT THE 110 MILE  RIDE  (View route on MapMyRide)
Start:

7:00 AM  at the Catamount Family Center in Williston, VT.

Breakfast will be available at 6:00 AM.

Rest Stops:

mile 30, 66, 86, 102

Finish:Harpoon Brewery, Windsor, VT
2008: * due to a bridge closure on Route 2 in Middlesex.
There is a small detour that adds 3 miles. Route is 114 miles in total

50-Mile Ride from Bethel to Windsor

11 AM at the Whitcomb Jr. Sr. High School in Bethel.

Refreshments will be provided starting at 10 AM.

Rest Stops:

at mile 19 and 36

Finish:Harpoon Brewery, Winsdor, VT

AT THE FINISH

All riders finish at the Harpoon Brewery in Windsor with a post-ride party to celebrate the riders. This is a family event -- kids are welcome! Dinner and two tickets for Harpoon beer or soda are provided for all riders and meal and beer or soda tickets will be available for purchase.
